The 21km marathon for a 4-man Ranger Team carrying 22kg backpack is on 21st September.

TEAM ZAVARU

Our Wildlife Ranger Challenge 2024 Team ZAVARU is based in Mana Pools National Park at Zambezi Valley Rapid Response Unit Base, ZAVARU. These Rangers respond to wildlife protection needs all over the Zambezi Valley! Their dedicated effort to protect wildlife needs our support!

TEAM CHARARA

Our Wildlife Ranger Challenge 2024 Team CHARARA also supported by KAWFT, Kariba Animal Welfare Trust is based on the shores of the incredible Lake Kariba, the home of the Spirit of Nyaminyami. These Rangers respond to a growing wildlife protection need all over Charara Safari Area and Kariba Town.

Team Chewore South

Our Wildlife Ranger Challenge 2024 Team CHEWORE SOUTH is based in the faraway Chewore Protected Area in the Zambezi Valley. These Rangers respond to a growing wildlife protection need all over Chewore South against bushmeat poaching, illegal gold-panning, and ivory poaching.

Chirundu Task Force

Our Wildlife Ranger Challenge Team CHIRUNDU TASK FORCE operates in three fascinating environments, peri-urban with human wildlife conflict in Chirundu Border Town, patrol on the Zambezi River border and in the stunningly beautiful Rifa Concession. TEAM Dande-Mbire

Our Wildlife Ranger Challenge TEAM DANDE-MBIRE comprises both ZimParks Rangers and Mbire District Council Wildlife Scouts who have come together to take on WRC 2024! They carry out wildlife protection duties throughout Dande Safari Area and Mbire Wildlife Areas right up to the Mocambique border - it is very wild, remote and rugged!

Our Wildlife Ranger Challenge 2024 TEAM DAPU falls under www.cmsafaris.com and has been protecting wildlife from illegal activities in the rugged Dande Safari Area and neighbouring Mbire wildlife concessions for more than 20 years with great passion. Please support this team!

Team Doma

Our Wildlife Ranger Challenge 2024 TEAM DOMA is our "mountain" team operating in the very rugged Doma Safari Area - although part of the Zambezi Valley, these Rangers are geographically very remote with difficult access. We are absolutely thrilled to be working with them and ask you for your special support!

Team Hurungwe

Our Wildlife Ranger Challenge 2024 TEAM HURUNGWE is made up of Rangers who patrol the Zambezi River between Kariba Dam Wall and Kanyemba far away in the east, and Rangers who foot patrol the mountainous and flatlands of Hurungwe - extraordinary men doing extraordinary work! Support these Rangers to look after our future!

Our Wildlife Ranger Challenge 2024 TEAM MANA POOLS works in the world famous Mana Pools National Park, part of a World Heritage Site, a TransFrontier Conservaton Area, and a biodiversity hotspot. Human and poaching pressures are very much part of their day-to-day work. Protect your Wildlife and Support this Team!

Team Mid Zambezi

Our Wildlife Ranger Challenge 2024 TEAM MID-ZAMBEZI is new to WRC and we are loving this team's enthusiasm to be part of the WRC action! Based at the Mid-Zambezi Regional HQ at the famous Chinhoyi Caves these Rangers are deployed all over the region to carry out their duties. We'd love you to encourage and support!
