WILDLIFE RANGERS WILL RUN THE 21KM - 2023
WILDLIFE RANGER CHALLENGE!
On 16th September 2023, Wildlife Rangers based in Zimbabwe’s Mid-Zambezi Region, otherwise known as the “Zambezi Valley”, will once again participate in the Wildlife Ranger Challenge 2023’s 21km marathon!
RANGERS FUNDRAISING FOR RANGERS
Each member of the 4-man patrol unit, wearing regular patrol kit, will carry a 22-kg backpack and become part of the Pan-African fundraising event, bringing attention to Rangers, their work and the vital necessity of having Protected Areas across our Globe!
YOUR support will play an even more vital part as recovery is underway after those devastating years of COVID-19.
This global campaign #wildliferangerchallenge has used the power of the ranger voices, influences and celebrities to help the public in support of the WRC fund-raising campaign.
The six 4-man Ranger patrol teams shown below are Zimparks teams that Tashinga Initiative has registered for WRC2023. We will work with these six teams for the preparation, for the challenges leading up to, and provide super support for each and every team on the day of the Marathon: 16th September 2023
